Update from Langkawi
"Langkawi is just a hop and a skip away from Phuket and at the Wave Master Shipyard we have all the facilities we need to progress as we would like. We decided it would be better to return to Malaysia rather than stay in Thailand if we wanted to progress on the work of the boat. Jacek and Tristan have managed to find wood to cover the foredeck where once stood the winch supports and Simon is showing us his welding skills with aluminium. After sailing more that 50 thousand nautical miles we decided it was also time to have the Mercedes-Benz engines serviced and the generators overalled.
Priority now is to have the boat in tip top condition for the next YEP visit to India which starts at the end of January. Tomorrow we start the restocking of food and supplies before the trip to India. We are very much looking forward to our first stop, the Andaman Islands, which we have heard to be one of the most beautiful parts of the world."
Pangaea has had an amazing stay in Malaysia and Mike Horn would like to thank all of those people that have helped him during his stay. Many wonderful things have been planned in Malaysia in the future so he and his team are looking forward to returning.
