After a short stop-over in Barcelona, Lorient, and Hamburg, PANGAEA has arrived in London today
Pangaea will stay in the historic German Hanseatic city for three days, until it sails on to London on June 23.
After a short stop-over in Barcelona, Mike Horn spent some days in Lorient, Brittany, on the west coast of France. Here Mike had the occasion to present Pangaea to sailors and sea lovers in the region and also to the French press. The more fortunate of these were able to profit from a sailing tour on Pangaea, the impressive 35 meter sailboat, baptised one month ago in Monaco.
Mike Horn offered a public conference to the people of Lorient. He spoke about his previous expeditions, his new project Pangaea and used this opportunity to invite the young adults to participate in YEP- the Young Explorers Programme.
Pangaea has now left Lorient and her next port of call during this European tour will be Hamburg. For those who would like to see her, Pangaea will be moored at "Museumshafen" for two days from the 23rd of June.
BARCELONA, June 2, 2008 – Pangaea, one of the most remarkable voyages of exploration ever undertaken – a four-year trans-navigation of the globe by sea and land by South African adventurer-explorer Mike Horn – has arrived in Barcelona.
